Aimee creates imaginative illustrations using acrylic paint, watercolor, ink, cut paper, and digital media. Portraying people of all different shapes, sizes, and cultural identities in her work, Aimee specializes in children’s and editorial illustration, but also loves to do freelance product illustration, stationery design, graphic novel illustration, and poster design. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. In her sparse free time, Aimee cooks, knits, makes animations, and reads. Before studying illustration at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Aimee managed a women’s shelter, taught English, worked as a grant writer, and dreamed about doing what she does today. Aimee lives in beautiful Northfield, Minnesota with her husband. home
